Wedding

FAQ

General

May we bring a guest?
In June we will be sending out the invitations. If you have a long term significant other we didn't address on the Save the Date, please let us know before June. Due to our budget and space, we request that only the people whose names are on the invitation's address label attend.

Will I know anyone else at the wedding? Who will I be seated with?
We have invited friends from the same circles, and we will be seating you with them. If you want to know who, email me and I'll let you know. Encourage them to come so you're not sitting all by yourself! haha!

May we bring our children?
We think your kids are great, however, the event we have planned may be unsuitable for your little ones. We hope you and your spouse enjoy your night out.

I can't attend, can I invite someone in my place?
What?

Food

What kind of food will be served?
We will have theme buffet stations with different types of cuisine to represent our mixed heritage. We had a tasting with our caterer and the food is amazing! There are plenty of vegetarian options available from each station. Also, there will be a menu provided so you know to avoid items if you have certain food allergies.

Attire

What do I wear?
The attire is "Black Tie Invited ".
Men can wear a tuxedo or a dark suit, and your shirt and tie can be any color of your choosing.
Women can wear evening gowns to cocktail dresses. Feel free to glam up so I don't feel overdressed!

As defined by About.com:
"A Black Tie Optional or Black Tie Invited gives you the option of wearing a tuxedo or formal dress, but it should clue you into the formality of the event, meaning a dark suit and tie would be your other option. Women wear cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates."

Can I wear black (ladies)?
Yes! You can wear black, everyone looks good in black. You can wear any color, I don't mind.

Do I need to bring a jacket?
Although it will be during the summer, San Francisco is known for being chillier than the rest of the Bay Area, especially after sundown. You can bring a coat with you and leave it in the car if it seems fine outside. Just don't call me the day of the wedding and ask me if you'll be needing it!

Around San Francisco

Where can I park?
Good question!
Here is a list of parking garages in the area:
http://www.regencycentersf.com/location.html

I have marked the locations on our Map here:
http://www.weddingmapper.com/visit/0ktc1b

Unfortunately, we cannot foot the bill for parking. And no, there is no valet outside the Regency. That's some guy trying to steal your car.

Where are the local hotels?
We will be blocking rooms at the Holiday Inn. We'll send out an email once we have locked in a discounted rate for you.

If you need more options, you can visit this page.

How can we get there using public transportation?
Check out 511.org, they have an awesome feature where you can plan your trip. Go to "Transit", the blue button and drop down to "511 Trip Planner".

You can also visit:

bart.gov

Which entrance?
The Regency Center has two entrances, one on Van Ness and one on Sutter. The entrance to our event is on Sutter Street.

RSVP

I'm late RSVPing! Can I email you and let you know I'm coming?
If it's past the RSVP date, do whatever you can to let us know your status. Call, email, even a Facebook message. Chances are, we are trying to track you down.

It's okay, we all lead busy lives, we let things like RSVP's slip. We won't be mad.*

*We'll only be mad if you don't RSVP and show up anyway!

We didn't receive an RSVP card with the Save the Date. Now what?
Don't worry, you were sent a Save the Date, which doesn’t require any action on your part. The
RSVP cards will come with the formal invitation in June.
